SilverCreek Falls

 As lame as it sounds, my mum is favorite hiking buddy. She is always up for spur of the moment adventure and she loves hiking just as much as I do. We went to Silvercreek falls, which is about 25 minutes from my house past Silverton, Oregon. This time we did a ten mile hike around and saw five different falls. Hiking is one of the main reasons why I love Oregon. There's tons of different places to go and all are so beautiful. I really recommend this hike.

Father's Day Cocktail

For father's day, my sister hosted a BBQ at her new home in Portland. She received a hand press juicer for a housewarming gift, so she insisted on making fancy cocktails with it. It turned out pretty amazing, so I thought I'd post the recipe. 

1/2 Grapefruit(juice)

 1/4 cup Tonic Water

1 Lemon(juice)

1/2 tsp. Bitters

1-2 shots Gin or Vodka

Splash of Ginger ale

I love a good bargain. Lately, I have been scoring some amazing deals at consignment and thrift shops. I've found dresses from J. Crew, Banana Republic, Zara, and Pins & Needles for $6 apiece. My favorite find was at a consignment store called Plato's Closet in Salem. I found two pairs of amazing leather boots for a total of $25.

The black ones are Dolce Vita and the tan are BCBG. Whoever priced them may not have known how expensive the brands are. They were just my size and in great condition. That never happens.

Final Countdown| 3 Weeks!

It is officially June, which means I only have a few weeks before my trip to Cancun! I am usually a major procrastinator, but I actually have everything I need for the trip and am nearly packed! This term was one of the worst yet, so I am just overenthusiastic with the thought of getting away from it all and forgetting Spring term ever happened. I am so looking forward to, for the first time in my college career, not having to do any summer classes. I will be looking for another job, but the extra time not studying I will be able to spend with Paul and all the other important people in my life. I haven't been a very great friend lately because of my coursework load, but hopefully this summer I will get to put in the time and effort and delve deeper into the friendships I've been neglecting.
